About me:
I’m a DIY loving, old-fashioned, “from scratch,” crafty kinda country girl…with a love of animals… My goal is to inspire and encourage you by sharing how you can have a healthy, secure and free lifestyle; no matter where you live.
About the Farm (Homestead):
Our “Little Slice of Joy,” Joy Acres is a three acre “mini” farm, some would call a homestead, in Western Pennsylvania. In 2018 we bought my childhood home and started out remodeling the 100-year old farmhouse. Little did we know we would be starting our homesteading journey just six months later.
We raise (or have raised) chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits, goats, sheep, cows and even a pig.
We also have an ever expanding garden, orchard, berry patches and grapevines.

Our intention is to share things with you that we were already practicing in life or have learned along the way on this wild (at times) journey.
